Description

An 1890's Bohemian variegated lemon yellow + white blown glass vase, made using a technique known as "spatter" or "splatter" glass, with hand painted enamelled decoration and applied trailing. Most likely made by the Franz Welz factory. Reference: [click here]. Glows bright yellow under UV light, due to the presence of cadmium sulphide in the glass mixture.

Size

Measures approx 8.5 inches tall by 3.25 inches in diameter at widest point.

Condition

Has a nibble to the top rim, and a tiny nick to the base rim, all shown in final pictures.
