Description

An 1890's Czech/Bohemian blown glass vase, made using a technique known as "spatter" or "splatter" glass. With cadmium yellow lined 'Oxblood & White' spatter pattern, made by Franz Welz. Reference: [click here]. Glows bright yellow under UV light in places, due to the presence of cadmium sulphide in the glass mixture.

Size

Measures approx 8.5 inches tall by 3 inches in diameter at widest point.

Condition

Excellent condition, no chips or cracks other than a tiny nick and slightly rough finish to the inside rim, shown in final picture.
