Description

A wonderful Victorian pressed glass salt bowl in purple & white marbled malachite glass, also known as slag glass. Made by British maker Sowerby, faintly marked to the inside base with a design lozenge and their peacock trademark. This design, pattern number 1212 is shown on page 10 of Sowerby's Illustrated Pattern Book No VII, issued in 1880.

Size

Measures approx 1.75 inches tall by 2.25 inches in diameter at widest point.

Condition

Excellent condition, no chips or cracks.
