Artistica Murano CCC or Oball Brown & Amber Sommerso Glass Fish Sculpture

Description

Here is a wonderful 1950/60's Venetian glass fish sculpture, made on the island of Murano, near Venice, Italy. A very similar design, in the form of a lamp, can be found online with a label that reads "Artistica Murano, CCC". Reference: [click here]. We have also found another very similar with an Oball label. Reference: [click here]. In a stunning combination of brown glass cased in amber glass, which is further encased in clear glass, using the renowned Venetian sommerso technique.

Size

Measures approx 6 inches tall by 5.5 inches in diameter at widest point.

Condition

Has a chip to the bottom lip, a chip to the back fin, a tiny nick to the base rim, and what appears to be restoration (ground & polished out chip) to one of the side fins, all shown in final pictures.
