Brama Pair of 1930's Art Deco Chrome & Pink Candlesticks
click to enlarge, scroll down for more
Product Number: WS13408
Sold / Reference
Description
A wonderful pair of 1930's
art deco
chrome plated candlesticks. I'm not sure what the base metal is or what the pink centres are made of (probably plastic). They have the original green felt bases. Made by
Brama
, which was the trading name or brand used by the metal plating wares company
Abrahams & Co
of Birmingham, that eventually bought out the
Davidson
glassworks. Similar items are shown in one of their catalogues, described as
"boudoir candlesticks with pastel pink centres"
. The catalogue is not dated, but based on the contents, the date is estimated as circa 1935.
Size
Measure approx 2.25 inches tall by 2.75 inches in diameter at widest point.
Condition
Excellent condition, just some minor age wear / pitting, see pictures.
