Arte Nuova Pustetto & Zanetti Murano Pink & Blue Sommerso Glass Vase

Description

Here is a wonderful Venetian organic glass vase, made on the island of Murano, near Venice, Italy.  Most likely made by Arte Nuova in the 1950's/60's, unmarked. Similar examples from this range can be found online, sometimes baring labels which read "Arte Nuova Murano, Grand Prize, Genuine Venetian Glass, World Fair Brussels 1958". Other examples have a label which reads "Arte Nuova Murano, Pustetto & Zanetti, Made in Italy".  The factory was open only for a relatively short time, from 1954 to 1965. In a stunning combination of pink glass encased in blue glass, which is further encased in clear glass, using the Venetian developed sommerso technique.

Measures approx 4.75 inches tall by 9.5 inches in diameter at widest point.

Condition

No chips or cracks, just a few surface scratches, shown in final pictures.
