Isle of Wight Studio / Michael Harris Golden Peacock Glass Squat Vase

Description

A beautiful miniature white glass vase with gold leaf inclusions, designed by Michael Harris in 1982, for his renowned British glassworks Isle of Wight Studio, part of the Golden Peacock pattern range. Still bears the original factory label on the base.

Please note: Although this vase is obviously too small to hold a bunch of flowers, it is still classed as a vase. Small vases like this were often used to hold flowerheads, or miniature "sweetpea" flowers, or simply used as decorative ornaments. Perfume bottles were also made in this shape and design, but the ones I have seen all had ground inside rims to create a tight seal with the stopper, this one does not, so I believe it is a vase and not a perfume bottle missing a stopper.

Measures approx 2.25 inches tall by 3 inches in diameter at widest point.

Condition

Excellent condition, no chips or cracks.
