Barbini Murano Blue & Opalescent White Glass Vintage Biomorphic Bowl

Description

Here is a wonderful 1950/60's Venetian biomorphic glass ashtray bowl, made on the island of Murano, near Venice, Italy. Made by Barbini, no marks or labels, but this shape can be found in an old catalogue page of Barbini products for Weil Ceramics & Glass, see photo (second row, first from right). In a stunning combination of blue glass encased in opalescent white glass.

Size

Measures approx 2.25 inches tall by 5.5 inches in diameter at widest point.

Condition

Excellent condition, no chips or cracks other than a small nick to the rim, shown in the final picture, and a couple of small surface scratches.
