Chinese Murano Style Red & Amber Sommerso Glass Vase

A red, amber and clear glass vase with applied side lobes. Easily mistaken for Murano glass, indeed some sellers would like you to believe as such, in hopes of achieving a higher price, but this piece was actually made in China, and is available to buy brand new on Amazon. Made using the Venetian developed sommerso technique.

My main reason for creating this and other similar listings, is because I'm tired of seeing other sellers list these items for sale at extortionate prices, while claiming them to be vintage Murano glass, some even going so far as to add their own fake Murano labels. When shown evidence of their fraud, such as an identical item being available on the Chinese trade site Alibaba, they claim those are copies and theirs are original Murano. To be absolutely clear, these are not copies, they are genuine, original designs, created by Chinese manufacturers. They are actually very good quality and quite appealing, but if you would like to furnish your home with them, please, don't be caught out by fraudulent sellers. Use the button at the top of this listing, and you can buy them brand new, via Amazon, at much lower prices than the ones found on ebay, etsy, 1st Dibs etc.
