Sowerby #1148 Victorian Purple Malachite / Slag Glass Spill Vases

Description

A wonderful pair of Victorian pressed glass spill vases in purple & white marbled malachite glass, also known as slag glass, unmarked. This design, pattern number 1148 is shown on page 1 of Sowerby's Illustrated Pattern Book No IX, issued in June 1882.

Size

Measure approx 3 inches tall by 2.25 inches in diameter at widest point.

Condition

Excellent condition, no chips or cracks other than a nibble to the base of one "foot", shown in final picture.
