Murano/Venetian Green & Yellow Sommerso Glass Vase/Jug

Description

Here is a wonderful Venetian glass stem vase in the style of a jug, made on the island of Murano, near Venice, Italy.  In a stunning combination of green glass cased in yellow glass (does not "glow" under UV light, no uranium content), which is further encased in clear glass, using the renowned Venetian sommerso technique. Still bears the Hans Geismar import label.

Measures approx 11.5 inches tall by 3.25 inches in diameter at widest point.

Excellent condition, no chips or cracks.
