Archimede Seguso Alabastro Blue & White Murano Glass Duck

Description

This is a magnificent 1950/60's Venetian sculptural glass duck or swan, made on the island of Murano, near Venice, Italy.  Made by Archimede Seguso, no markings or labels, but a labelled example of this same design can be found online. In a stunning combination of opaque blue and white glass, known as alabastro glass.This design is shown in the book "Archimede Seguso, Mid-mod Glass From Murano" by Leslie Pina, page 133.

Size

Measures approx 5.5 inches tall by 5 inches in diameter at widest point.

Condition

Excellent condition, no chips or cracks other than a minute fleabite to the very tip of one of the wings, shown in final picture.
