Here is a wonderful 1950/60's Venetian freeform glass bowl/dish, made on the island of Murano, near Venice, Italy. This piece was made by Barovier & Toso, and possibly designed by the renowned Italian designer Ercole Barovier. This piece is from the 'Zebrati' range. A very similar piece can be seen in the book 'Italian Glass: Century 20' by Leslie Pina, page 140. In a stunning combination of clear cased glass with a red swirling pattern, and loads of gold leaf inclusions encased in the glass!


Measures approx 2 inches tall by 4.75 inches in diameter at widest point.


Excellent condition, no chips or cracks, just an intact manufacturing air bubble on the inside of the bowl, shown in final picture.
