Murano Vintage Red & Uranium Yellow Sommerso Glass Vase

Description

Here is a wonderful 1950/60's Venetian glass organic vase, made on the island of Murano, near Venice, Italy. In a stunning combination of orangey red glass cased in uranium yellow green glass, which is further encased in clear glass, using the renowned Venetian sommerso technique. The small amounts of Uranium in the glass cause this vase to glow bright green in UV light.

Measures approx 8.25 inches tall by 8.5 inches in diameter at widest point.

Condition

No chips or cracks, just a small, faint bruise mark to one side, shown in final picture.
