Archimede Seguso? Alabastro Murano Glass Snail Sculpture

Description

This is a magnificent 1950/60's Venetian sculptural glass snail, made on the island of Murano, near Venice, Italy. In a stunning combination of opaque cranberry pink and white glass, known as alabastro glass. This piece was possibly made by Archimede Seguso.

Size

Measures approx 4.25 inches tall by 5.5 inches in diameter at widest point.

Condition

Excellent condition, no chips or cracks, just a minute burst air bubble on the edge of the shell, impossible to photograph.
