Jostra Blue & White Lampworked Glass Ship Toothpick Holder

Description

This is a magnificent miniature lampworked blue and white glass ship sculpture, with six tubular holders for what I think are metal toothpicks. Would originally have held glass toothpicks. Shown in a Jostra glassworks catalogue, pattern number 1219/1120. Jostra was based in the town of Neuhaus am Rennweg, near Lauscha, Germany, and run by Joseph Traut. They sold products made by themselves and also some items made locally by smaller glass "hutts".

Measures approx 3.75 inches tall by 3.25 inches in diameter at widest point.
