Murano Vintage Blue & Uranium Yellow Sommerso Glass Swan

Description

Here is a wonderful 1950/60's Venetian glass swan or duck sculpture. Made on the island of Murano, near Venice, Italy. In a stunning combination of blue glass cased in uranium yellow green glass, which is further encased in clear glass, using the renowned Venetian sommerso technique. Also has a controlled bubble effect known as 'a bolle'. Glows bright green in UV light.

Measures approx 8 inches tall by 3.25 inches in diameter at widest point.

Condition

Excellent condition, no chips or cracks, just a slightly rough finish to the beak, probably from the manufacturing process and not damage, as there doesn't appear to be any glass missing.
