Murano Venetian Vintage Gold Leaf Glass Whale Sculpture

Description

This is a magnificent 1950/60's Venetian sculptural glass whale, made on the island of Murano, near Venice, Italy. Made in clear glass filled with gold leaf inclusions. Unmarked, but quite possibly made by Archimede Seguso, as I have had this design also in pink alabastro glass. Archmede Seguso are well known for creating animals in alabastro glass and also gold leaf.

Size

Measures approx 5 inches tall by 5 inches in diameter at widest point.

Condition

Excellent condition, no chips or cracks.
