Barbini Murano Purple & Blue Bubble Glass Biomorphic Bowl

Description

Here is a wonderful 1950/60's Venetian biomorphic glass ashtray bowl, made on the island of Murano, near Venice, Italy. Made by Barbini, unmarked, but at the time of listing this, I also have the exact same design in blue and clear, which still has the Barbini factory label. In a stunning combination of purple glass encased in blue glass, with a controlled bubble effect known as 'a bolle'.

Size

Measures approx 2 inches tall by 5 inches in diameter at widest point.

Condition

No chips or cracks other than a tiny fleabite and few tiny surface scratches to the rim, shown in final picture.
