Seguso Vetri d'Arte #7610 Purple Glass Clover Bubble Bowl

Description

Here is a wonderful, large and very heavy (3kg unpacked) Venetian pinkish purple bubble glass clover leaf shaped bowl, made on the island of Murano, near Venice, Italy. Made by Seguso Vetri d'Arte, and probably designed by Flavio Poli, pattern number 7610, in 1942. Still bears the original factory label, which includes the written pattern number. This design is shown in the excellent book Seguso Vetri d'Arte - Glass Objects from Murano (1932-1973) by Marc Heiremans, page 113. Also shown in the online archives provided by Archivi del Centro Studi del Vetro. The label is shown in the same book, on page 379, and the book states it was in use from 1953 until the late 1950's.

Measures approx 3.5 inches tall by 10.5 inches in diameter at widest point.

Condition

Excellent condition, no chips or cracks.
