Galliano Ferro Murano Sommerso Green & Uranium Glass Stem Vase

Description

Here is a wonderful 1950/60's Venetian glass stem vase, made on the island of Murano, near Venice, Italy, by Galliano Ferro. In a stunning combination of green glass cased in pale uranium yellow glass, which is further encased in clear glass, using the renowned Venetian sommerso technique. The small amounts of Uranium in the glass cause this vase to glow bright green in UV light.

Measures approx 9 inches tall by 3 inches in diameter at widest point.

Condition

Has a faint surface scratch near the base, and some minor internal staining from use, all shown in final pictures.
