SIGNED Murano Geode Pink & White Sommerso Glass Bowl

Description

Here is a wonderful 1950/60's Venetian glass 'geode' bowl/dish, made on the island of Murano, near Venice, Italy. These bowls were made by several manufacturers, including Archimede Seguso and Cenedese. This one is signed to the base "Opaline, Murano", and another word I can't make out, which may be the factory name. Looks like it ends in "..uarin", but I haven't managed to work out who this could be. Any ideas, please let me know! In a stunning combination of pink glass cased in a thick band of opaque white glass, which is further encased in clear glass, using the renowned Venetian sommerso technique.

Measures approx 2.5 inches tall by 6.25 inches in diameter at widest point.

Condition

Excellent condition, no chips or cracks.
