Murano Vintage Blue & Uranium Sommerso Glass Vase / Jug

Description

Here is a wonderful Venetian glass stem vase in the style of a jug, made on the island of Murano, near Venice, Italy. In a stunning combination of turquoise blue glass cased in pale uranium yellow green glass, which is further encased in clear glass, using the renowned Venetian sommerso technique. The small amounts of uranium in the glass cause this vase to glow bright green in UV light.

Measures approx 7.75 inches tall by 3 inches in diameter at widest point.

Condition

Excellent condition, no chips or cracks other than a couple of very tiny fleabites to the base rim, shown in final picture.
