Murano Venetian Pink & Blue Sommerso Glass Vintage Bowl

Description

Here is a wonderful Venetian organic glass bowl, made on the island of Murano, near Venice, Italy.In a stunning combination of pink glass cased in blue glass, which is further encased in clear glass, using the Venetian developed sommerso technique.

Size

Measures approx 4 inches tall by 6.25 inches in diameter at widest point.

Condition

Excellent condition, no chips or cracks other than a couple of microscopic fleabites to the base rim, shown in final picture and almost impossible to see with the naked eye. Probably from when the base was ground flat during manufacture. There are also a few tiny air bubbles, and lastly a few surface scratches to the rim, some of which can be seen in the 4th picture.
