Murano/Venetian Purple & Blue Sommerso Glass Vase

Description

A Venetian organic glass vase, made on the island of Murano, near Venice, Italy. In a stunning combination of purple glass cased in blue glass, which is further encased in clear glass, using the renowned Venetian sommerso technique.

Size

Measures approx 5.75 inches tall by 3.5 inches in diameter at widest point.

Condition

Excellent condition, no chips or cracks other than a few tiny fleabites to the inside rim, and a small manufacturing dimple to the base rim, shown in final pictures. Also for accuracy I should mention that the outside rim looks slightly rounded, which might indicate restoration, however if so then this was very well done.
