Murano/Venetian Purple & Green Sommerso Glass Vase/Jug

Here is a wonderful Venetian glass stem vase in the style of a jug, made on the island of Murano, near Venice, Italy. In a stunning combination of purple glass cased in green glass, which is further encased in clear glass, using the renowned Venetian sommerso technique.

Size

Measures approx 7.5 inches tall by 3 inches in diameter at widest point.

Condition

Excellent condition, no chips or cracks other than a tiny nibble to the underneath edge of the handle, and a tiny nick to the base rim, all shown in final pictures.
