Murano/Venetian Opalescent Blue Sommerso Glass Vase

Description

Here is a wonderful Venetian freeform glass vase, made on the island of Murano, near Venice, Italy. In a stunning combination of opalescent blue glass cased in darker blue glass, which is further encased in clear glass, using the renowned Venetian sommerso technique.

Size

Measures approx 4 inches tall by 4.25 inches in diameter at widest point.

Condition

Excellent condition, no chips or cracks other than a couple of small nicks to the base rim, a couple of small intact air bubbles, and a small black manufacturing dot in the glass, all shown in final pictures.
