Murano Blue Sommerso 1950's Glass Decorative Bottle

Description

Here is a wonderful 1950/60's Venetian glass decorative bottle, made on the island of Murano, near Venice, Italy. In a stunning combination of deep blue glass cased in paler blue glass, using the renowned Venetian sommerso technique. Please note, the stopper and neck of the bottle do not have a tight seal, I believe this was made for decorative purposes only and would probably not be suitable for storing perfume or liquor, as it may slowly evaporate.

Size

Measures approx 8 inches tall by 4 inches in diameter at widest point.

Condition

Excellent condition, no chips or cracks, just a faint water stain in the bottom of the bottle, shown in final picture.
