Murano Vintage Red & Blue Sommerso Glass Bowl

Description

A Venetian organic glass basket shaped sculpture bowl, made on the island of Murano, near Venice, Italy. Most likely made by the Cristallo Venezia CCC glassworks. Very similar pieces can be found online with labels that read "Cristallo Venezia, CCC". In a stunning combination of red glass cased in blue glass, which is further encased in clear glass, using the renowned Venetian sommerso technique.

Measures approx 8.75 inches tall by 8.25 inches in diameter at widest point.

Condition

Excellent condition, no chips or cracks other than a couple of nibbles to the base edge, shown in final pictures.
