Murano Blue & Amber Sommerso Glass Vintage Basket Vase

Description

Here is a wonderful large and very heavy (2.2 kg unpacked) Venetian organic glass basket shaped vase, made on the island of Murano, near Venice, Italy.  In a stunning combination of blue glass encased in amber glass, which is further encased in clear glass, using the Venetian developed sommerso technique.

Size

Measures approx 12.5 inches tall by 8.5 inches in diameter at widest point.

Condition

Excellent condition, no chips or cracks.
