Murano Vintage Millefiori Murrine Canes & Gold Leaf Glass Bowl

Description

This is a magnificent 1950/60's Venetian glass ashtray bowl, made on the island of Murano, near Venice, Italy. In a stunning combination of clear glass filled with large colourful millefiori murrine canes, and gold leaf inclusions, with a heavily textured, blobby underside. Manufacturer currently unknown, but clearly a quality piece.

Measures approx 2 inches tall by 6.75 inches in diameter at widest point.

Condition

Excellent condition, no chips or cracks, just a small and very faint bruise mark to the inside, shown in final picture. Almost impossible to spot without examining very closely at just the right angle to catch the light.
