 Sold / Reference

Here is a wonderful Venetian glass bowl, made on the island of Murano, near Venice, Italy. This style of glassware is usually attributed to Mandruzzato, although other manufacturers have made similar items, including Oball, Campanella and Nason. In a stunning combination of green glass cased in a band of amber glass, which is further encased in an angular block of clear glass, using the renowned Venetian sommerso technique.

Measures approx 2 inches tall by 3.25 inches in diameter at widest point.

No chips or cracks other than a couple of minute fleabites to the inside rim, and slight rounding to a couple of the side edges, which could be the result of professional restoration, or more likely just the way it was made at the factory. Also, there is a small mark inside the glass near one bottom corner, which could be a manufacturing flaw, or at worst a very faint bruise mark or fracture. All shown in final pictures.
