Mandruzzato Murano Faceted Green & Amber Sommerso Glass Bowl

Description

Here is a wonderful Venetian glass bowl, made on the island of Murano, near Venice, Italy. This design was made by Mandruzzato, and possibly other factories. In a stunning combination of green glass cased in a band of amber glass, which is further encased in a part angular, part bark textured block of clear glass, using the renowned Venetian sommerso technique.

Size

Measures approx 2.75 inches tall by 6 inches in diameter at widest point.

Condition

Has a chip or flaw to the rim, very hard to see because of the textured finish, shown in picture 9. Also has a small nick to one side edge, shown in picture 10.
