SIGNED L. Onesto Oball Murano Blue & Purple Sommerso Glass Vase

Description

Here is a wonderful chunky, and very heavy (2.2kg unpacked), Venetian glass vase. Made on the island of Murano, near Venice, Italy, by the Oball glassworks, signed to base by the founder Luigi Onesto, and still bears the original factory label. In a stunning combination of blue glass cased in a band of purple glass, followed by another band of turquoise green glass, which is further encased in a very thick layer of clear glass, using the renowned Venetian sommerso technique.

Measures approx 6.25 inches tall by 5.25 inches in diameter at widest point.

Excellent condition, no chips or cracks.
