Bucella Cristalli Murano Faceted Purple & Amber Sommerso Glass Vase

Description

Here is a wonderful Venetian glass vase, made on the island of Murano, near Venice, Italy, and sold by Bucella Cristalli. In a stunning combination of brownish purple glass cased in a band of amber glass, which is further encased in an angular block of clear glass, using the renowned Venetian sommerso technique. Still bears the original label, which reads "Bucella Cristalli Murano, Made in Italy". Bucella was a retailer who also had a grinding and polishing business of "rough" pieces supplied by other factories.

Measures approx 6.75 inches tall by 2 inches in diameter at widest point.

Excellent condition, no chips or cracks.
