Description

A stunning Venetian glass miniature vase, made on the island of Murano, near Venice, Italy. Still bears the original factory label, which reads "Murano, L. Nason, Venezia". It is unclear for now if L. Nason was a glass factory, brand, or retailer/shop. There was a factory named Lino Nason in existence during the 1930's - 40's, but much of the glass found with these labels seems to have been made later, and I couldn't find any information about when the factory closed. It is also mentioned online that the name/brand Lino Nason was used by Ermanno Nason, in collaboration with artist Lino Perone, during the 1970's / 80's [Link]. Decorated with alternating stripes of white zanfirico lattice filigree and pink, green and yellow ribbons, trimmed with copper aventurine.

Please note: the plastic stand is for display purposes only and is not included.

Please note: Although this vase is obviously too small to hold a bunch of flowers, it is still classed as a vase. Small vases like this were often used to hold flower heads, or miniature "sweetpea" flowers, or simply used as decorative ornaments.
