Cristalleria Artistica Toscana / Alrose Empoli Red & White Glass Jug Vase

Description

Here is a wonderful large 1960's Italian bulbous glass decorative vase in the style of a jug, made in the Italian region of Empoli. Made by Cristalleria Artistica Toscana (C.A.T.). Similar pieces are attributed to Alrose (an American importer) in the book "Italian Glass" by Leslie Pina, on page 117. Consists of red glass with spiralling white stripes. Still bears the original import label, however this is very worn and nothing can be made out.

Size

Measures approx 15 inches tall by 5.5 inches in diameter at widest point.

Condition

Excellent condition, no chips or cracks, just a couple of surface scratches.
