Isle of Wight Studio/Harris 'Kyoto Cherry' Glass Vase

Description

A beautiful glass vase, designed by Elizabeth & Michael Harris in 1982, for the renowned British glassworks Isle of Wight Studio. This is part of the Kyoto pattern range, and from the Cherry colourway. Still bears the original factory label (worn).

Please note: Although this vase is obviously too small to hold a bunch of flowers, it is still classed as a vase. Small vases like this were often used to hold flowerheads, or miniature "sweetpea" flowers, or simply used as decorative ornaments. Isle of Wight Studio did also make perfume bottles in this style, but unlike this vase they have the inside rim ground, to create a tight seal with the stopper.

Measures approx 2.5 inches tall by 3.5 inches in diameter at widest point.

Condition

Excellent condition, no chips or cracks.
