Wedgwood Speckled Glass Polar Bear Paperweight RSW267

Description

A stunning British speckled glass paperweight sculpture of a polar bear. Made by Wedgwood, pattern number RSW267 (later SG267). From the range of animals + plants designed by Ronald Stennett-Willson and Paul Miller in the 1970's. I am told by a very knowledgeable friend (hi Rosie), who knows everything there is to know about glass animals, that although the colours are unusual for Wedgwood, this piece is definitely by Wedgwood, and was made shortly after King's Lynn became Wedgwood Glass.

Size

Measures approx 3.5 inches tall by 5.25 inches in diameter at widest point.

Condition

No chips or cracks other than a tiny fleabite to one side, and a couple of nicks to the base rim, all shown in final pictures.
