Description
A wonderful
Czech pink glass 'Floret' vase with opalescent white vertical ribbing. Made by the
Harrachov glassworks, and designed by
Milan Metelak in 1966, pattern number
4/4577. Similar pieces are shown in the 1987 Harrachov Catalogue, kindly provided online by Jindřich Pařík [
link] and this shape is also shown in the 1967 Czech Glass Review [
link]. An identical vase in green instead of pink is also shown in the book
'Czech Art Glass, A Private Collection, Part 3', page 15.
Size
Measures approx 5.5 inches tall by 4.75 inches in diameter at widest point.
Condition
Excellent condition, no chips or cracks other than a tiny fleabite to the rim, shown in final picture.
