Skrdlovice #5518 Czech Glass 'Elegance' Bowl by Marie Veliskova

Description

A stunning, heavy Czech pink and blue cased glass sculptural bowl. Made by the Skrdlovice glassworks, designed by Marie Veliskova in 1955, pattern number 5518. This piece is shown in the original Skrdlovice pattern book drawings, see last image (with kind permission, and copyright of Jindřich Pařík www.CzechGlassGuide.cz), and also shown in the 1966 Czech Glass Review. Part of the 'Elegance' range, which included designs by both Maria Stahlikova and Marie Veliskova.

Size

Measures approx 6.5 inches tall by 6.5 inches in diameter at widest point.

Condition

Excellent condition, no chips or cracks, just a few small surface scratches.
