Zelezny Brod Czech Turquoise Glass Engraved 'Heron' Vass

Description

A stunning Czech organic glass vase, made in turquoise blue glass. Has an engraved scene of a heron and reeds, initialed "MV". Probably mMade by the Zelezny Brod glassworks, also known as Železnobrodské Sklo (ZBS). Similar vases are shown in the book "Hi Sklo Lo Sklo" by Mark Hill, pages 46 - 49.

Size

Measures approx 4.5 inches tall by 6.75 inches in diameter at widest point.

Condition

Excellent condition, no chips or cracks, just a couple of small surface scratches, shown in final pictures. Also pictured is a ring just above the heron's head. I'm assuming this is part of the design, I'm just mentioning it as I'm not 100% sure it is supposed to be there, see pic.
