Walther & Söhne Art Deco Uranium Green Glass 'Nymphen' Trinket Bowl Small

Description

A wonderful art deco frosted green glass lidded trinket bowl / dish with mermaid and fish pattern, this is the smaller of the two available sizes. Made by German company Auguste Walther & Söhne in the 1930's, part of their 'Nymphen' pattern range, and is featured in their 1934 product catalogue. Glows bright green in UV light, due to small amounts of uranium in the glass mixture, a feature which has become very collectable these days.

Measures approx 4 inches tall by 3.25 inches in diameter at widest point.

Condition

Has a nibble to the shell behind the mermaid, and another to the base rim, all shown in final pictures.
