Walther Art Deco Uranium Glass Arabella Nude Lady Figurine

Description

A wonderful art deco frosted green glass semi-nude lady + fish figurine. Made by German company Auguste Walther & Söhne in the 1930's, part of their 'Arabella' pattern range, and is featured in their 1934 product catalogue. Small amounts of uranium in the glass mixture cause it to glow bright green under UV light, a harmless and interesting feature which has become very collectable these days.

Measures approx 7.25 inches tall by 3.25 inches in diameter at widest point.

Condition

Excellent condition, no chips or cracks other than a nibble to the fishes top fin at the back, which was probably done at the factory as it seems to be covered with the frosted finish. The lady also has a couple of marks or scratches to her arm and leg. All shown in final pictures.
