Victorian 1890's Vaseline Opalescent Uranium Glass Vase

Description

A stunning Victorian 1890's British glass vase. Consists of a tubular opalescent yellow green glass flower holder with eight-way crimped rim. Possibly made by James Powell & Sons (later became Whitefriars), part of their Straw Opal range, the clues being a large opalescent band around the neck, and large polished pontil mark, but I've been unable to find this shape in any catalogues. Could also have been made by one of the factories from the Stourbridge area of England, such as Thomas Webb or Richardson's. Made in vaseline/uranium glass, which glows bright green in UV light.

Measures approx 7.75 inches tall by 4 inches in diameter at widest point.

Condition

Excellent condition, no chips or cracks, just a couple of small black specks in the glass from the manufacturing process, shown in final picture.
