John Walsh Victorian Vaseline / Uranium Glass Thorn Vase

Description

A stunning Victorian 1890's British glass "thorn" vase. Consists of a tubular yellow green glass flower holder with white inside layer, rustic stylised tree root "feet", and pulled out thorns. Similar items are shown in the book Victorian Decorative Glass by Mervyn Gulliver, page 98. Most likely made by John Walsh Walsh from Birmingham, England. Made in vaseline/uranium glass, which glows bright green in UV light.

Size

Measures approx 5 inches tall by 3 inches in diameter at widest point.

Condition

Excellent condition, no chips or cracks other than a couple of nibbles to the thorns, shown in final pictures.
