LABELLED Romanian Retro Blue & White Glass Fish Sculpture

Description

A 1970's blue and white striped glass fish sculpture. Manufacturer unknown, but made in Romania, most likely one of two different factories, Pădurea Neagră or Tomeşti. Still bears the import label on the side, which reads "Made in Rumania". "Rumania" (and also "Roumania") was the English spelling for Romania up until around 1975. These fish are almost always misdescribed as Murano when found on various online marketplace websites.

Measures approx 3 inches tall by 8 inches in diameter at widest point.

Excellent condition, no chips or cracks.
