Fratelli Toso Murano Copper Aventurine & Turquoise Glass Bowl

Description

Here is a beautiful 1950/60's Venetian leaf shaped glass ashtray bowl, made on the island of Murano, near Venice, Italy. This piece was made by Fratelli Toso, similar items from this range can be seen in the book "Italian Glass: Century 20" by Leslie Pina, pages 168 - 171. In a stunning combination of turquoise green & white cased glass, with patches of copper aventurine.

Measures approx 2 inches tall by 7.75 inches in diameter at widest point.

Condition

Excellent condition, no chips or cracks, just a small, slightly dull area to the rim, which could be from manufacture or possibly later minor restoration, see final picture.
