Barbini Murano Pink, Amber & White Cased Glass Geode Bowl

Description

This is a magnificent 1950/60's Venetian glass geode bowl, made on the island of Murano, near Venice, Italy. Made by Barbini. An almost identical bowl, with their factory label, can be found online. In a stunning combination of pink glass cased in a distinctive layer of opaque white lattimo glass, followed by a layer of amber glass, and finally encased in a thick wall of clear glass, using the renowned Venetian sommerso technique.
