Murano Multicoloured Glass Zanfirico Filigree Duck / Swan

Description

A stunning Venetian glass duck or swan sculpture, made on the island of Murano, near Venice, Italy. Decorated with alternating stripes of white zanfirico lattice filigree, and pink, blue, and green twisted ribbons trimmed in copper aventurine. Manufacturer currently unknown. My best guess would be AVEM, as they are known for this style of zanfirico in these colours, and are also known for sometimes leaving the base unpolished on their smaller items, as is the base on this item.

Size

Measures approx 4 inches tall by 2.5 inches in diameter at widest point.

Condition

Excellent condition, no chips or cracks, just a couple of white specks to one side, where the internal filigree has met the side of the figure, shown in final picture.
